How does it work?

GARBAGE

In Denmark, waste must be sorted into different categories. This means all household waste should be separated accordingly.

The waste containers are located outside by the fence next to the carport and are divided into:

• REST = Residual waste

• MADAFFALD = Food waste (use green plastic bags)

• PLAST OG MADKARTONER = Plastic and food cartons

• PAPIR = Paper

• METAL = Metal

• PAP = Cardboard

• GLAS = Glass

You are very welcome, as far as possible, to sort your waste into the corresponding bins inside the house. These are located under the sink, with additional bins for plastic and cardboard in the cupboard opposite.

If you are unsure where an item belongs, please dispose of it in “REST” (residual waste).

Residual and food waste bins are emptied every Tuesday. You don’t need to do anything—the garbage collectors will handle collection and return the bins.

The other bins are emptied once a month, also automatically. Since we cannot guarantee whether they will be emptied during your stay, please use the residual waste bin if the others are full.

THE MAIN DOOR

From outside: Bring the key tag to the lock or use your passcode (start pressing * the code and end by pressing *). When closing the door, make sure it shuts and wait 2-3 seconds and it will automatically lock (it makes a sound), if it doesn't lock then gently push the door and it will lock.

From inside: Turn the lock to the left until the light turns green. The door can then be opened. If the door doesn't lock when closed then gently pull the door and it will lock.

MIELE WASHING MASHINE

1: Fill the machine with clothes and close the door.

2: Turn to Bomuld Eco (Cotton eco - see picture) and press either 40 or 60 degrees on the display.

3: Fill detergent into the machine. A full machine requires 3 full caps (due to the very HARD water in Copenhagen).

4: Press the green start button on the display.

If the machine reports an error, turn it off and wait a few minutes and turn it on, if it does not work contact us and we can try to figure it out or look up the error in the manual.

MIELE DRYER

1: Fill the machine with the wet clothes. We usually only use the dryer for towels, bed linen and underwear etc.

2: Turn the knob to Cotton eco and select skabstørt (closet dry) on the display. Bed linen and sheets: Turn the knob to Cotton and select ekstra tørt (extra dry) on the display.

3: After each drying, the fluff filter must be emptied of fluff (see picture).

If the machine reports an error, it may mean that the large foam filter in the bottom left corner of the machine must be rinsed. While the filter drys replacement filters are available on the table above the dryer.

MICROWAVE OVEN

The easiest way to use the microwave is to use the Start/+30/Confirm-button in the bottom and press the number of 30 sec. you want the oven to heat. For example, press the button 4 times for 2 minutes.

MIELE ESPRESSO 

1: Switch on the machine on the button on the left.

2: Warm-up phase. 

3: Place the milk tube in the drip tray. Press ok to continue.

4: Rinsing process

5: Choose drink (if you want latte macchiato or cappuchino put the milk tube in a milk carton and push the button.)

If the display shows "Fill the water container" you must fill the water container (see picture).

If the display shows "Fill bean container" you must fill coffee beans in the container, feel free to use our beans located in the cuboard next to the fridge on the top shelf .

LG 55" TELEVISION

Everything run's through the cromecast, which can be controlled with the white remote (also the main remote, but the white works better). When using the chrome cast/Google TV the application called Norlys Play is used to watch "regular TV", we have the "big" tv package, but it is primarily Dansih, Swedish and German channels. Otherwise we subscribes to various stremaning solutions (Amazon Prime, TV2 Play, Netflix, Viasat Play which you are welcome to use and should be logged into on the Crome Cast. Feel free to login to your own subsriptions.

SONOS SPEAKER SYSTEM

There are alot of speakers around the house, the can be accessed while connected to Wifi using Apple AirPlay or by using the Sonos App. We do also have a Bluetooth B&O speaker located in the dining area - its battery powered, the charging is integrated and found by opening (pressing) the hatch on the back-side of the speaker.

THE OUTDOOR AWNING

Remote is located to the right of the terrace door. Below it you find an smart button which controls the outdoor lights. If it doesn't work, you may have turned off the power, which is the switches above the WiFi on/off button on the opposite wall. The awning should automatically close if it rains of is too windy.
