If we agreed to swap cars, you may use our Kia Optima PHEV and/or Renault Zoe (ZE 50)
As per danish law, you need to send us an picture of your driver licence including an acknowledegment of the following:
Our insurance on both cars will only cover a maximum of 1.500 km and only in Denmark. There is a deductible of DKK 5.000 pr. incident (some travel insurances covers deductibles - so check yours).
It is very important that you do not exceed the 1.500 km limit or leave the country with any of the cars. Further, you should be aware of speedlimits since fines/tickets can be very expensive. Reckless driving (including driving DUI) the goverment will confiscate the car. Please read general rules here (https://www.visitdenmark.com/node/840)
Please inform us if the car is damaged or you believe that we may expect any speedtickets (Its part of life, we completely understand that it can happend - so no worries). If the car breaks down please contact us, otherwise the direct phone number to road service included in the insurance is:
70 11 20 00
You are responsible for any tickets, fines, damages (including the deductible), and related charges.
Kia Optima:
Please leave the car (Kia) as you found it including with a full gastank (Blyfri 95). The car has a 10 kwh battery, which will take you about 55 km all charging will be "free" for you, so remember to plug it in every night. It takes about 3 hours to charge and the charger is set to ECO-charge, thus primarily charges the battery during the night.
We are aware that there are some scratches on the car (rear left bumper, front bumper and the wheels have curb scratches). So don't worry!
Renault Zoe:
The Renault Zoe is all electric, you are welcome to charge it as much as you want. It takes about 5 hours to charge and the charger is set to ECO-charge, thus primarily charges the battery during the night.
Parking:
Parking is not free anywhere in Copenhagen. Payment is done by APP (EasyPark) and be aware when you are parking on a public or private parking spot (signs on the parking lot, different rules may apply from place to place). See more: https://international.kk.dk/live/transport-and-parking/parking-in-copenhagen/public-parking-in-copenhagen
It is always difficult to find parking and never faster to go into the city by car so we recommend to use bike (local style) or public transport. You can bring cars (not the cargo bike) free of charge on he S-train, if you want to skip the ride into the city. The Metro requires bike tickets.
